While putting together a directory to help parents find the best educational resources from over 300 websites we’ve reviewed, we found an “educational gem” and we could not wait to share this find with you!
BrainPOP Jr. creates a friendly, integrated learning experience that exceeds others we’ve seen. Kids learn in a variety of ways about connected subjects. For example, if your child learns about states of matter (liquid/solid/gas), they can fortify their understanding through quizzes, discussion topics, games, activities, art projects, and more. In addition, BrainPOP Jr. ties related subjects together creating an educational framework for your child. This is much more comprehensive that just memory exercises.
BrainPOP Jr. offers sights, sound, and friendly characters kids like on each subject. These characters come alive and as learners connect to them, they retain and build on their knowledge. I say this from experience because my five-year-old came in after I registered and told me “all about the site.” He knew the characters’ names and what they do.
Delighted and excited, I’m putting a quick article online to share this with parents looking for a well-designed, user-friendly resource that kids’ like and that works.
I’ll be using this site in the morning with my child; I hope it can help you as well.
Accessing BrainPOP Jr. normally costs a minimum of $1550 for a year, however with all the school closures due to COVID-19, parents can leverage the platform for students age 6-17 for absolutely no cost until the end of the school year.
Your child can get started on BrainPOP Jr. (grades K-3) and BrainPOP (grades 4th-12th) right away; no credit card needed. Getting started took less than two minutes.
You’ll find an easy-to-follow guide for parents, although the system was so simple, I jumped in doing just what my little one told me to do.
